It's a darned shame HTC did not get to slap some 'sense' into this phone... the UI looks pathetic and boring! (no matter what animations or transitions MS has added!) Just look at it!! Yawn...

Still, not getting an official upgrade to WP7 does not bother me too much. WM6.5 is very capable and powerful - has almost everything you could ask for and the HTC SENSE contributes to it in many ways too.
I won't miss WP7 on my HD2, yet, I would love to play around with a real WP7 device for a day or 2 ... :-)
The bad side of 'not being Apple' is that there are not only 1, 2, 3 versions of an iPhone but a huge ammount of handsets that would have to be supported by the WP7 operating system. MS decided to set the border a bit tighter this time (special buttons / hardware requirement combination) to give the end user a better experience. If anything, I sort of welcome that!
Once my HD2 dies, I'll look around for a WP7 device. Until then, I will be happily using it. ;-)

I Feel betrayed by microsoft after buying htc hd2 and got told it will not be gettin any update to WP7 despite havin capable hardware....its gonna take time for me jumping to the WP7 train

too bad its not made by another manufacturer. I've had bad experiences with htc quality.

Its now called the 'HTC Spark' and the Screen size is 3.8" WVGA, and the processor is 1GHz.

I think this is what HD7 should have been. According to this source, this phone will ship with a 1.3GHz processor!

[deleted post]go for c 6 windows phone are expensive slow and lagging......loss of memory(ram)..useless no apps left in the marketdont expect any thing revolutionary from this

looks awesome but windows based phones are obsolete now and there are hardly apps available for them......apps market already captured by iPhone and Android phones.

I'm generally one who values function over asthetics. However, the fact that the widgets are off centre to the left just bugs me. I know that it is done this way so that the right arrow button has a place to go. Still, being uncentred just bothers me a bit. Anyone else feel the same.
In any case, I can get over the non-centred widgets as long as they provide good functionality.

Faaaak, 30 Sep 2010iphone 4 is betterI agree, iPhone 4 is better than a 100 dollar third world unlocked low end Nokia. iTap are for fruitcakes, wannabes, 14 year old girls, social posers and housewives with chihuahuas. The rest of us use smartphones. Something with a real sense of the word "open envoirment communication".
