The silly thing is that both are needed, and arguing which is better is crazy.
They appeal to different needs.
Reading a crazy thread, the other day, about whether LCD or plasma is better; and watching die hards argue their respective points, very well, made me laugh..
Then I realised that uneducated people get confused and walk away knowing less - which was sad to me as in the thread I was reading had elegant points and fair logic both ways...
What we need to understand is that our individual and specific needs are all unique.
What suits me might not suit my sister/ my daughter or my father.
If I could be unbiased (I try to be open minded, - I research and use things first hand to form my own opinions), I could answer questions and help/counsel people and help them find THEIR solution. (In fact I do, for a living)
Technology is confusing. Spec sheets are misleading.
And learning curves are steep.
I don't own an Apple phone. Never have.
I hope they can make a phone I would chose over every other; It would be a really good phone.
I like premium brands, reliable products and stuff built to last.
We need market diversity and 'competition'.
Otherwise we would all be using winphones.....

There are those that can not "distinguish" overpriced from "cannot afford". This can be either due to linguistic problems or a very poor economy.
If you tried to sell him a single match stick and demanded $1 - I'm pretty sure he would agree that it was heavily overpriced (no matter what logo it got), and yet he most likely could afford it.
Let us hope that for him it is just a linguistic problem....

Hollywood means American Movies.
Here in India it maybe status symbol because Indians like copying westerns but same can't be said about native Americans they are just using what is available for cheap in their country.
