If it's less than 3 years then 4GB is plenty enough, heck even 3GB will do just fine, otherwise you're just falling for the ridiculous spec hype that these Chinese companies started because they can't offer us anything else in return. Note 7 has way more features than a OP3, if I had the choice between the two and money was of no concern I'd get the 7 in a heartbeat!

AnonD-463876, 01 Aug 2016Do you NEED 6GB of RAM or do you want it purely for braggin... moreBragging Rights? Common. I wish phones existed where that was an actual real possibility for us real power users. If they did, it wouldn't be bragging rights for me. It would be just peace of mind.

Do I NEED 6GB of RAM? YES. Do you really want an explanation of what I'm doing with my current phone that has 4GB of RAM that always seems to just have around 300MB of RAM available at most times to justify it? And if I do, are you just going to debunk my phone habits by telling me I shouldn't be doing this or that during a busy work day that I may or may not have time for optimizing my phone for the extra RAM needed?

Does 6GB also help me stay future-proof? Well, kinda but I'm already using almost 4GB almost daily so I don't think for my the world future proof falls into that category for me. But for many, future proofing isn't something that we or they have to worry about once they hand over their money for something that is supposed to be the end all of phones.

Best question. Is Samsung going to charge us for a flagship phone everything they think they deserve and yet not give it to us in return?

That's a double edged sword this year. I have to say the S7/S7 Edge does get it's full approval from me on that question. Will the Note 7? Not without 6GB of RAM, otherwise it's a glorified S7 Edge.

See Webster's Definition below incase you forgot what a flagship is supposed to mean.

            ****************
            "flag·ship
            noun
            noun: flagship; plural noun: flagships
the ship in a fleet that carries the commanding admiral.
the best or most important thing owned or produced by a particular organization.
"this bill is the flagship of the administration's legislative program"
            ****************

In a world where smartphones are replacing PC's or Laptops as our primary device yet they are not customizable like we are accustomed to having with our desktop or laptops. Where as we can add-in or buy a computer with the right amount of CPU, RAM and Storage suited to our needs. Is it so hard to ask for something we do need that we are willing to pay for anyway? I'm getting really tired of these rehashed phones from last year when it comes to CPU and RAM. Do I care about the Iris Scanner? Not really. Do I want IP68? Sure, who doesn't? But not at the cost? Not for losing a possible greater CPU, RAM or a better UFS File I/O to name a few higher things on my list.

Hope this helps you figure out if NEED it for bragging rights or not.

LG should focus on midranger like K series but put good processor into it.
Midrange like Stylus 2 is also good but they should release non-stylus version, not all people need stylus.

Just stay with FM. Analog signal always has better tolerance of bad environmental conditions than digital signal. Plus, digital radio/TV has higher power consumption because of the processing of the digital signal.

Smart people make and handle their phones the way everything works perfectly and full featured offline. Internet acces should be just a bonus utility, but the basic, essential functions, things that can be made to work perfectly offline (like installation / usage of apps, GPS navigation, radio, speech to text, office apps...), should never be dependent on internet connection.
