Moto Z gets the bend test treatment and survives

02 August, 2016
JerryRigEverything was infamously known for bending the lights out of a Nexus 6P back toward the end of last year. The reason behind the bend test failure was a design choice to use a dovetail joint to connect plastic parts to the Huawei handset’s aluminum frame.

I am impressed, was honestly expecting the Z to snap like a twig. Obviously jerry's tests are far more abusive than "usual tear and wear", but if a phone manages to survive the abuse you can rest easier knowing it won't bend, crack or scratch very easily.

I am using my phone for making calls, browsing Internet,Social media Stuff, Music, Games and Video stuff. In any of these cases I never get a situation to bend my phone.
May be from Next time onwards, like water resistant, phone should be bend resistant.

When I get angry I should be able to make my point by breaking my phone into pieces. Nop moto Z is not the phone for me.

Moto makes sturdy pieces.in past I have used Moto phones without using screen protector and honestly it never got even a scratch or cracks inspite of numerous drops. I am talking of ex119 and not any premium unit of Moto.

By the way tests shown here are of extreme conditions. We are not going to use it the way it is shown here.but it only shows the endurance of the unit.in India have seen many habitual of putting their handsets in back pocket (immaterial of size). Hence tests are helpful for such people.

mir, 02 Aug 2016All of the scratched parts on this test are also vulnerable... moreyeah right and also who's a fool who will bend their phone like that? even if its inside your pocket it can't be bend as same manner if you bend it with hands. I just goes like, What the Heck!? Phone are meant to be use on a fair manner, and not meant to be bend.
This is just crazy and will make people want more for their phones and gonna wish for the Manufacturer, "your phone must be, DUST, WATER, BEND proof" oh there or even FIREPROOF". are you going to use it in everyday life on those kind of situations. definitely NOT...

"Jerry is back with a scratch test and bend test of the Moto Z whose outcome didn’t disappoint. Motorola’s rigid and high-quality build is to thank for the phone’s survival of the bend test." If anything, the Moto Z is the best built smartphone out there.

All of the scratched parts on this test are also vulnerable on most other phones. So I don't get why you guys are upset with such results.
