I have migrated back to windows as I find the live tiles, glance screen, and double tap to wake very convenient to use for my daily use. Also, Windows 10 is not resource-hungry, does not lag, and has a much cleaner yet informative interface. Of course, it does need more polish.
I have all the apps required for myself. (I can do without multiple versions of fart simulator, thank you).
Now waiting for this update.

cut everything between you and Microsoft/windows if you don't want it as simple as that. You can change your pc os into mac os, Linux, chrome os.
You can change you mobile os to blackberry os, ios, a third party os on other mobile brands that is android.

Why the hate? Windows Phone 10 runs perfectly on my Lumia 930, I got a very capable browser, improved battery life over WP 8.1, everything runs really well. My only complaint is the lack of apps which seems to be slowly improving. But so slowly it's a deal breaker.
I'm not sure about how WP10 would be on those low end phones with low end specs though. I remember trying the Insider build on my Lumia 820 and the battery wouldn't last half a day using the phone for calls. And that's not very bad compared to the phones Microsoft launched lately.

Yes, I am happy too with my 'beta phone' 950 XL.
But I am not happy with my Lumia 1520 being ruined by an official OTA firmware from Microsoft to update it to Windows 10 Mobile without telling me it's beta.

I understand Windows 10 (for PC) Anniversary Update.
But for Windows 10 Mobile, what "Anniversary Update" ??!! ... the damn thingy is still and has been in perpetual BETA to this very day !
