Anonymous, 07 Aug 2016I hv seen so many people still sticking to note3 and note 4... moreYep I know I'll be sticking to my note 3. Note 4 is the only device id consider upgrading to but it's not worth it for the price.

It's not hot if you are paying almost $1000 for the same specs your phone already has (S7 Edge) iris scanner? I totally have lived without it, when (if) the 6gb of ram model arrives, I would think about switching phones... But I'm almost sure I'll wait til S8 comes out.

Jest, 07 Aug 2016No snapdragon 821, no 6GB ram. Absolutley not hot, its a bi... moreCrying for SD821 which is only 10% improvement from SD820? Even Qualcomm claimed it is just a minor improvement. Like seriously, tiny weeny improvement that not even worth waiting for in newer flagship as Qualcomm had planned for SD830 already, so it is kinda of stupid to put SD821 now.

AnonD-540667, 08 Aug 201616 gb base
Only this year they have moving onto 32 gb base
I was referring to the mostly available 32GB-capacity Note.5 (hence, attracting iPhone users for a 32GB option Apple did not supply) - Samsung wanted to attract and experiment of making internal memory with no expansion devices. iOS users are dedicated enough not to switch over to Android, while alienating their core customers who have at least enjoyed memory expansion with up to 128GB.
Basically making the Note.5 with LESS features compared to the Note 4. While companies increase features, Samsung took out major features like Infrared remote, memory expansion, user-replaceable battery.

The biggest drawback of this Note edition is definitely the S820 and the lack of IR blaster. If Samsung could have just put the 821 & IR blaster in it along with the 6GB + 128GB of memories rumour being true, this would definitely be a true bearer of the Note name AND the ultimate smartphone by far. The lack of removable battery would NOT matter since it in there's the newest innovation from Samsung that enable it to downscale both screen res and CPU performance in order to save juice immensely. For that innovation, its water resistance, and the still unrivalled ability to multitask in multiwindow plus the improved S-pen, I had still voted hot though.

A considerable marketing factor is "price" and frankly, the price puts Note7 in "bye" rather than buy category. If you want to take over the world Samsung, give some thought to 'value for money'.

AlienFromNextDoor, 07 Aug 2016Phone is like a note 4 which trades in removable battery an... moreAbsolutely. I regret i can't find a Note 4 duos. This is the last decent enough phone from Samsung.
Every single phone they make nowadays either lacks even basic functionality like ambient light sensor, or it lacks a removable battery, second sim slot and has a fragile body.
Total garbage. I wonder how long before they remove the 3.5mm jack too.

The only thing i don't like and still cant figure out, is why the battery is less than 4000mah. For a top tier device it should have come with no less than that. And for those saying "they optimized the device to be able to survive on that", imagine if they had put a 4000mah or more. Using bigger batteries WON'T affect the battery pack market. We're STILL gonna buy them.

Well it is the best and most balanced phone out there so why would anyone (in their right mind) throw it in the sea? Unless they're testing the IP68 rating.
