Buy an HTC 10, receive $199 JBL headphones for free along with $100 accessory credit

08 August, 2016
Today HTC has launched a new deal for people who purchase its latest flagship smartphone from its own website. Until the end of this month (if supplies last), when you buy the HTC 10 you will receive a pair of JBL Reflect Aware C headphones for free. The USB Type-C headphones retail for $199 on their own, so that's how much you're saving here.

if they just sell for $300 directly, it should be enough to consider than those useless accessories.

They'll need to do more than hawk a bunch of mediocre accessories to convince people to buy this phone, which is pretty darn good in-and-of-itself.

And as usual - only the US is what matters for HTC, good luck with that. Apparently this is bad strategy if you look at their financial results.

In Europe in many countries they sell the Lifestyle crap at the price of the regular, full 10 - is this normal? And in many countries there's operator-only sale - you can't buy the 10 at the store as usual. So good luck HTC with this strategy.

                  Only in US!
And they'll come screaming at the end of the quarter due to low sale.
I have HTC and I love it,in fact, I think it is the best of Android at this moment, but if they keep their marketing strategy by concentrating on one or two countries, eventually they'll fail.

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2016Lol this crap is retailed at $999 Canadian! Good luck with ... moreI live in Toronto and off plan straight out it was $799 on Yonge St. When I live in Australia the Iphone 6 was $1400 for base model and whilst I do like apple it was clearly not worth that figure in any circumstances. The HTC 10 by comparison is powerful, very stylish and solid. The money asked for here for that quality build against what I just outlined is good.

Don't call earphones or earbuds as headphones. The price is to make people believe that they get something good in return for buying HTC 10, which they obviously don't. HTC probably partnered with JBL and they can probably get these earphones for dirt cheap prices. There is no way some earphones cost 200$ to make. I'd be surprised if it costs even 10% to manufacture.
