New news article post on MIMO4x4 on the Note 7 has a link that give a rundown on cell tech.
It would seem that the Qualcomm chips 820 have the required aerial pairing for future cell tech rollouts that might reduce congestion.

Radios and aerials I always thought was off chip.
I had an HTC Velocity 4G (one of the first 4G phones in my country),.. and I know that with any new bands, the hardware is very much external.
Given America has so many different telcos and variations,.. this notion in part makes sense, and in other ways does not.. eg in Australia,. My telco uses 850, whilst the other two carriers use 900.. that would suggest that I should get one variant (snapdragon or exynos) and the other carriers would use the other.
My heart (mind) really goes with the idea that they simply cannot deliver enough exynos chips (demand being much higher that expected) and preorders are selling out like crazy.
Moving a significantly large market over to their 'overflow' chipset maker (Qualcomm/Snapdragon) to cover the difference and help meet demands.
I like your idea though. Makes me want to look at some ifixit teardowns as a part one to this investigation....

Supply needs.
Canada probably getting snapdragon due to huge market demand for this phone globally (likely a fair pace more than expected on this one)
Exynos typically is paired with a vastly better DAC (digital to analogue 'sound chip') than what the Snapdragon includes in the system on (a) chip package.
Headphone enthusiasts using lossless files in 24bit are the sort of people that usually consider this; though the truth of a good DAC is it affects all analogue sound output (so, not bluetooth then ;-)
I have traditionally been in a snapdragon release area for Note lineup, this time around Australia will be getting Exynos (otherwise I would have considered an HTC10, same DAC outboard to a Snapdrgon if what I read is true).

If we're strictly speaking about the chipset, then yes you can make that conclusion since there are phones using these chipsets already on the market. Most of reviewers agreed that, exception of GPU performance, the Exynos variant performs better.

We got the exynos version here in philippines..i pre-ordered a black onix. I'm so excited. Switching from note4. At first i'm not convinced of the specs similar to s7 edge, bat the exynos soc is the advantage. I also considered the gorilla glass 5, aluminum 7000 and water resistance. Iris scanner wasnt really a deal breaker for me. Im a fan of note series since the note1. I dont consider fones where their manufacturers threw high ram, or newer/higher clock rates cpu. Samsung phones are optimized and quality built. I dont need a "flagship killer" nor a 6gb ram phones that cant even use that amount of ram to its fullest potential. I only need a smartphone that THINKS BIG. sorry for my english. But im really excited for my note7! :)

AnonD-546724, 09 Aug 2016It's maybe all ready knowed by all, but someone can explain... moreBecause Samsung have a flagship SoC of their own. Snapdragon and Exynos flagships are equal, performance wise, but the tie-breaker is battery life, and Exynos 8890 is 10-15% more efficient than SD820.
What I don't understand is why Samsung doesn't have decent midrangers or upper midrangers, whereas Qualcomm has excellent options. SD650/652 has no opposition in their segment.
