I've Lenovo Vibe P1 - not the Turbo version with a mid-range SD615 processor with 2GB RAM and 5000 mAh Battery with a 1080p 5.5 inch screen and I get a SOT of 12 hours minimum. Am a heavy user and my phone typically lasts more than 2 days on a full charge. #SammyFans

The ad linked to above is quite lame compared to others in what must be a series of them.
Another thread commentor mentions Robert Downey Jnr, who appears to be in the Taco truck exploding one (he had to stay behind cause 'his phone was still charging')
Glovers' last words (reflecting, to his wife on the action 'movie' he has just watched himself in..) "it is not my best work"

How much are these phones actually worth?
Take away the freebies, take away the advertising, and you might sell more flagships, available at a lower price point.
But investors don't like 'lower' average unit sale prices.

If doze was responsible for the good battery life in s7 why does the 6p still have ~2.5% less battery life even when s7 has 450 mah less battery. Dont even compare the s7 edge cause it leads with ~25% more battery even if it has only 150 mah more battery. And u say comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges? Really? Both run android plus the galaxies run on heavier touchwiz (a skin on android, if u didnt know). So your argument is not valid at all. The only reason I would choose a nexus, over galaxy is for the fast upgrades and if google manages to fix the fragmentation issue i wont even look at the nexus phones. The best comparison would be the regular Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition. Exact same hardware, one with TW, one stock. And the GP Edition exhibited better battery life back then. Now that's with older Android OS and Touch Wiz. Still, considering the improvements of Marshmallow Doze is well documented, while whatever Samsung does with TouchWiz is anybody's guesses, I am going to say that the battery improvements here would probably more due to the optimization done on Marshmallow, rather than Samsung's own effort in the software.

Could have been better but i can't really complain since ALL smartphones has bad battery life. I dunno what is with the Sony stamina mode thingy, my friend is still saying the battery life of Sony phone sucks.

Though those dont necessarily mean actual usage it gives a general idea about the usage ur going to get. About your stock vs touchwiz point, nexus doesnt have a very good reputation of a very good battery life even with less bloatware. Touchwiz however has one of the best battery life management systems out their on the market.

I wonder how much of these "better battery life" claim are due to the OEMs (Samsung's) effort, or Google's own Android improvements (ie. Doze). I mean seriously. Samsung is notorious for putting so many crap features on previous touch wiz. It's not until now that they dialed down a lot on touch wiz. Less bloat = better battery life obviously, but how does it compare to plain stock Android?
