AnonD-570806, 10 Aug 2016wrong the redmi note 4 sports the snapdragon 625 not the 6... moreThis is Redmi 4, not Redmi Note 4. RN3 had different SoC than R3, same will happen here.

          About Snapdragon's chips - SD650>SD808, SD652>SD810.

SD 625 is like semi successor to SD61X, but with higher clocks and better process node (16 nm vs 28 nm), so it should be ~40-50% faster, while consuming same amount of energy. During idle, it should consume much less energy than SD61X. True successor to SD61X is SD65X. Still, difference between SD616 and SD625 should be noticeable.

Also, there is no information whatsoever about RN4 in this rumour, they might wait with this phone.

the redmi note 4 sports the snapdragon 625 not the 652

the 652 and 650 processors were on a class of their own
their performance was on par with the sd 800 series chips

the 625 is newer than the 650 and 652
but it is weaker in terms of performance
what it improves on is power efficiency ,i believe

so the worry that the redmi note 4 would be worse in terms of performance than the redmi note 3 is a very real thing

                unfortuonately for xiaomi
the only way that they can make a better performing redmi note series phone is by using a sd 652 or an sd 800 series chip

So questioning a newer sd 652 is total nuts. Phone like le2 sports 1080p display with sd652 which handles the display smoothy. You can be assured it won't have any problem in this department however i would like to see camera improvement though. Rn3's camera was just not there.

If Xiaomi is smart they'll start doing what Samsung is currently doing and that's lowering the resolution for better battery efficiency and whatnot.

SD 625 is a good processor since it is made on a power efficient 14nm process but performance wise it is not equal to Snapdragon 650 or 652. I wish SD 650 & SD 652 were built on this 14nm process as well. Hope the resolution of Redmi 4 is cappaed at 720p HD for a better gaming performance.

wish we could see that test, with redmi 4 vs redmi pro exclusive edition. the x25 vs sd 625.
