looks decent but hope this doesn't end up with battery issues that overheat which i experience both on the G2 and G3. But I am willing to give this phone a chance.

Metal frame? Ughh, the V10 looked better than this. The metal framed phone will surely need a case. The V10 needed no case! If it has a small battery, this phone will tank. This phone does not look like the v10 successor but more like the g5 successor.

You wont find a good DSLR with high price to have 20MP camera but for a fraction of that DSLR price you can have a so so digital camera with 24MP. Now if you say cheap digital camera is better than highly priced DSLR then I have nothing to say to you.

I just want LG to play safe. They always take a risk in design choice. Their phone is always looks weird, weirdly good. Weirdly beautiful, weirdly ugly.Why not just make a phone with nice metal frame.
Second, keep an eye to the competition. Look at sammy, they know chinese is a serious treat. So they change the strategy. Now look, they have solid Line up. Beautiful edge flagship, Premium dual glass design for A series, premium full metal unibody for C series, metal framed J series. LG is toos slow to response. How can they fight Chinese and Sammy with plastic.
Its too costy if LG try to apply modular design to mid end. They need to start metal frame phone right now. Sammy know this is the best, its costy at beginning. Then now its cheaper, so they can apply it to their midranger.

It's good that they removed the dual FFC, it's pretty useless. Might as well have a single wide angle like on the S7 etc.

LG, please no more modular bs! My wife drop her LG G5 and the bottom side for modular became slippery! We have uses tape just to keep it! The locker for modulation broke so badly!

no LG, just keep the modular design to the G-series & V-series as multimedia consumption device. Just upgrade a few key area like speaker,camera and battery, easy right? just leave the design alone. last year, LG decide that the v10 should set apart from the rest of G series but now LG want to use the same design and material from G5? Personally I like how v10 was design and now I just disappointed.

I don't think it's worth the upgrade from my V10 if it's just for the dual cameras setup & a little bump in resolution & SD 820 SoC either, the only rational consideration for it is a 6GB RAM+128GB expandable memory, Quick charge 3.0 with USB Type C port & large battery capacity, dual HiFi bottom firing speakers would help too.

What is up with all these Dual camera smartphones when they can't even take 3D pictures and video, so they are stupid and worthless. Even the old HTC 3D and LG thrill can take 3d pictures and video.
