The actual available size varies. From 32 GB storage, you get approx 29.8 GB as a total. Now subtract the Android OS size from the storage, which is approx 4 GB. You get just 25-26 GB as user space. Get my point?

batman, 10 Aug 2016when will this phone be released ??? october 4th.

For people which says 'ugly' probably comming from samsung... Seariously. This plastic piece on the back will be on the nexus no doubt, other design parts might change, just take black version and its ok... But yeah, im hoping fair pricing for nexuses to be affordable. Though im more interested in nexus marlin.

Looks dumb with the super big top and side bezel. Why would google choose HTC if they had no plan for a phone with stereo speakers?

This phone looks horrible! The bottom bezel is just not being used at all. Either put a speaker there or maybe capacitive buttons.

What I have experienced, a device with pure android runs smoothly even at 2gb ram.of course ones with add ons over android will not give same experience at 2gb ram.

Again, for heavy users might need a gig more, but same may not b case with non vanilla android

One of my friend uses nexus 4 and still runs smooth at 2gig ram.

the OS partitions are going to be about 4ish gb, as 32gb translates to around 29-28gb in usable

8gb alloted for the pure android OS seems to be quite a lot. But if it runs noticeably smoother than skinned versions then I won't mind.

aatif khan, 10 Aug 2016We need to understand that Nexus is an example of how a pur... morePure Android device? With 8 GB of storage occupied by the OS? Thrilled to see what impure Android looks like.

Google for some reason dosen't seem to wanna sell a lot of Nexus phones.
Right after the Nexus 5, the Nexus line has been sporting a slightly more 'premium' pricing.
Its the *economy* & simplicity of the Nexus line which attracted people in their millions.
Google started selling it for a premium, OnePlus stepped-in to fill the void. 2 years later now OnePlus is acting all posh & premium, many of the new entrants waiting on the side will step in & the circle will keep going round & round.

Stupid Google, price it what you will in the 10th or 11th month of the phone at the start & you'll earn more in sheer volume of its sales!!

i like the design just wish LG was still the manufacturer.

The thing looks repulsive. Why can't they hire designers who have a sense of esthetics!
