Apple experienced their first fall in iphone sales this year, not in 2013/2014 as you said. Apple, as always, was just following its own plan and ignoring what other companies are doing.

I don't like dual edges, so i don't buy any samsung dual edge smartphones. I like the pureness of nexus and iphones, so i buy those two. I like curved tvs (those that curve inside toward the user, as opposed to my dislike of samsung and blackberry's dual edge implementation curving on the outside for reduced viewing on the edges), so i bought a curved tv. I like kinect so i bought a xbox one. So yeah, i buy what i like and criticize if i want

For example, Samsung released first very popular big screen S3 back in 2012, and iphone's first big screen iphone 6 came in 2014. 2 and half years after is hardly reacting to competition in my books. On the other hand, apple released the first touch id on iphone 5s in 2013, and 6 months later, the next flagship release from samsung, s5, has a fingerprint sensor.

Many say Samsung copies designs and features of Apple , remember Samsung copies always the Great features not the silly features. And Apple makes phones on IOS not on Android so it is great for Samsung to provide us phone with more refined and good looking designs.And as a matter of fact IBM was the 1st company to give us the "SMARTPHONE".
Apple copied this and made the 1st Iphone!

If they won't release the iPhone pro with iPencil then it's their lost again! Samsung Note has no competitor again.
And also, I think, the purpose of the glass chassis is for waterproofing, remember they plan to remove the 3.5mm jack?

He said that people have criticised Samsung for the S6/S7's design, and those same people will praise Apple's choice to return to their old design language.
