"Commercial UEFI" improvements (is this an oxymoron)...

Any tech who has had to fight with a recent machine trying to multiboot Linux etc, knws that UEFI has been microsofts coup de grace at taking back the PC world.
Getting Intel (SKylake) onboad etc.. as a platform they really do not want to share personal computing.

Sure they feel threatened,.. but judges/magistrates do not rule against their unethical practices as "we don't understand this technology",.. and legal teams can make persuasive arguments (that is their profession, yes?).

UEFI is for NOT SHARING THIS PC with anyone.

I can imagine UEFI commercial improvements is just to reallow manufacturers an ability to give industry partners 'factory restore' privelidges for PCs they sell.

Windows 10 is a freaking nightmare to tech supporters, per usual, being a highly monoplistic design for market capture.
If Winphone shows what their "all or nothing" approach can lead to, you would think they might learn.

I suppose giving away an OS for free for a long time (and then extending the dates due to enough users still not taking a FREE PRODUCT) might get them some market statistics that gets other users onboard simply our of.. "well if 1 billion other people have it, it must be alright then" reasoning.

Arrrrrghhh 'Microsoft' (remember how everyone on the show Seinfeld said "Newman!"?)
