Why?didn"t Nokia do this with the N8,as all Nokia have done is made the N8 get critised more than any other mobile,April-End of October along time for Nokia to get the Symbian3 software fully up to date,an its still not released yet in the U.k the N8,as i should get my Pre-Orded N8 on Thursday, the C7 might attract more people because of the Battery idea Nokia have put on the N8,as most people always like buy spare batteries for mobiles, will now be able to try the N8 first before deciding to get the C7 instead

AMH, 11 Oct 2010Is Nokia still alive!!!! Im studying IT Engineering and in... moreThat's what they said when the RAZR was so hot! Look what happen to Moto since then. Nokia is the inventor of the smartphone and Symbian is the most powerful platform for small phones bar none, as an engineer you should know. It's only the User Interface that needs to be adjusted to modern usage a little and they have done a lot of improvements already and in six months the next big update is coming out, Symbian 4, by then you'll notice the big difference. Symbian is unbeatable in small devices! Once you go over 4" display you can start using linux, that's what Android is and guess what Nokia has their own linux version, its called MeeGo.

C7 uses the EDoF ( an enhanced fixed focus). EDoF stands for Extended Depth of Field and is a new idea, borne of the digital age. Rather than having a bulky and expensive auto-focus mechanism, the idea is that a cheaper fixed focus camera can be dramatically improved by using a custom lens which has been designed to focus the different colour components of light differently.

For more details check this article http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/Camera_Nitty_Gritty_Supplemental-EDoF.php

Leaving aside fixed focus camera, this phone is a good deal. It looks so pleasing to the eyes and feels so great to hold such a metallic finish.

                                  It looks nice!!

It's dead because only 41% of the world uses symbian. This is too low because android is around 17%.
