Google updating Gmail with new security warnings

11 August, 2016
Google has announced that it's introducing a couple of new security warnings in its email service Gmail. Starting this week, whenever a Gmail user receives an email that can’t be authenticated with either Sender Policy Framework (SPF) or DKIM, they'll see a red-colored question mark in place of the sender’s avatar.

Anonymous, 11 Aug 2016Gmail. Who is still mad enough to use this service? It beca... moreI seriously hope you have forgotten to put a sarcasm tag in there somewhere, or are just trolling, since outlook is the biggest steaming pile of shit I had the misfortune to use, stuff including
    - randomly reloading the whole page while I am writing a mail, discarding whatever I wrote, just to load the damn skype plugin
    - not being able to send plaintext mail
    - inserting links into plaintext mail would spit out html code instead of the plaintext link
    - inserting formatted text into plaintext mail would turn on formatting while still claiming it's plaintext
    - user created email filters being ignored
    - being outright racist moving legit mail from senders with Arabian names I already whitelisted to spam every single time

Google on the other hand just knows everything about me. Mostly because I use an android phone, the mail is just included.

What I noticed in the last months is that everyone is unauthenticated, including trusted Google Apps for Work clients that we have.
I suppose eventually people will become authenticated, who knows..
