Micromax has lost focus. Wooden cases don't sell phones, VFM Specs and reputation does.

Many companies are slapping android as it is freely available, Google has no control over quality or updates. In the long run it can be negative for Android powered phones. Even if you look at the big brands their updates are restricted to more or less one major upgrade of the operating system and then that's it.

micromax devices are as good as dead.

Bought a canvas knight long ago from a reputed brick and mortar store, within a month the display blacked out, when took it to service centre they informed me the phone is not under warranty as the warranty strip inside the phone under battery is not available. Wtf!!! When checked in the purchase store it was confirmed that the phone was a fresh piece..
Horrible after sales support and stopped using their brand

When your logo is a fist coming at you no material can bring style, class or status to your product.

Standard problem with micromax phones - within a year battery 'swells up' and becomes useless.I usually refer them as club sandwich phones.

Finishes - within a month or two, your handset will start looking horrible (however premium quality is claimed at the time of sale)

But they are one of the known brands in India.
