Very expensive. Even if they matched the price of the iPad they would have had a hard time to beat Apple's sales. Pricing it higher is just unfortunate, as some people would have been interested in the extra features. As it is, I don't see this as being a huge success.

hope they reconsider the price
and the tablet will be good for the people that have an eye problem because it has a bigger screen that they can use so dont say you rather take a pic on a mobile phone that fits to your pocket because when you grow older i bet you will look for the same thing big screen and easy to use

Samsung "suggested retail pricing" is never ever the real deal,
as seen with all their other products.
In fact, I bet we will see a dramatic price drop within this year,
the €700 price mark will drop immediately after release of the
product, it will go quickly go close to €600.
You know why? Because of their sales structure. It is pushed through
extensive planning in advance, plus "achievement rewards" in meeting
the forecasts. This pressure leads to crazy price offers to retailers.
Good for us, though - isn´t it? ;-)

800€? LOL to Samsung. Who REALLY needs a tablet anyway??! I guess money spenders will find it interesting, but most of the ppl won't. Tablets are forced into the market by magalomaniac CEOs and/or let's-do-it-like-Apple opportunist dreamers. If Apple farts, many will try to fart too. If Apple stinks, they're all in big trouble.
Hey Samsung, you can be creative and anticipate the next Apple products like iPan, iPen and iHateU.

Samsung, u are always good at points EXCEPT the price for this Pad, so obviously, the consumer will go for Laptops( 15inch screen, higher processor,...etc ) with even lower price than the Galaxy Tab.
Hope to hear & see reasonable price.

No thanks!!!! I can buy good core i5 laptop better than stupid cheap plastic cover as samsung.it goes with samsung galaxy s with it's plastic covering body come on.... I'm spending good money on this,and this is what you created pathetic samsung booo.

Who the hel* would use this as a phone or a camera loool, I can't believe that people really are considering these things good features. I would prefer to make calls and take pictures from my cell phone which I can fit in my pocket. Not this brick! Let's use our brains a little bit OK.
The apple ipad has a higher screen resolution, and will provide you with more apps and a better entertaining experience. Besides, apple were the ones that invented such a thing so I'm sure it will have higher quality. And the best of all is that it's cheaper! Apple is cheaper, be real guys, the only reason you would go for a samsung over apple is because you can afford it. Now since the galaxly tablet will surpass $1000 are u sure you would prefer a copy/paste on the original ipad? Just think about it.
Finally, please do not forget than google announced that froyo 2.2 is not meant to be used on a tablet! Which may result in a lot of apps crushing and not working properly. So why take the risk ?

Don't worry about SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB since it is expensive, we have 3 choices now. Just check with your local stores whether below droidpad are available.
1. OLIVE PAD - 7" (Made In India)

i like the fact that this pad is a phone as well, can you imagine yourself holding it to make a call ???? you need to have some muscles.
Cell phone is a mobile phone , not something that does not fit in your pocket. Trying to combine all the stuff in one single object is not really clever enough because the pad will be heavy, the battery will be shitty and all of that for functions you do not use. P.S the ipad comes with 3g so for sure there is no advantage for this one over the Ipad

Can't depreciate the korean quality. It has long time, brands like LG, Hyundai, Samsung and Kia are brands with great quality, with their own status of great importance in the global market.
