What a joke. Asus has totally lost it. They had such a high demand but expected price was around 15-17K INR. Better specs are available for lesser price.

Really price is disappointing me too, This is too hight for such a phone having CHINESE DNA ,phone is not that much robust and durable too, i am not going to buy this phone at this prize, at this prize i would like to buy SONY or SAMSUNG

Stupid pricing... If it is priced like this.. it's going to be a disaster for Asus.. They have to keep the price around 15k INR for the base model. Otherwise.. It's over for Asus!!

OMG! ₹22,000! I was thinking it'd be around 16000 ie $250. But... I can't buy, never! I was waiting for last 75 days. Asus have gone mad 😡. India is being offered Much Better phone at this price. Asus don't understand India

Its a total bullshit for 21k. We can get mi5 for this price on some offer. We will forget the fact that it doesn't have a backlit if the price is 15-a6k. 21k?? are u kidding asus??

AnonD-559424, 17 Aug 2016Asus Zenfone 3 comes with sd625 soc. It is a 14nm chip. So ... morebro, the dissapointment is all about price, not about specs. Similar spec phones cost lower than what asus is offering and with few bucks extra you can jump upto 820(flagship) category lemax2,mi5,op3.
still let me break down the 625/650/652 confusion
625 deploys 14nm process compared to 28nm process. technical term is die shrinking. die shrinking reduces current used by each transistor switching on/off. so battery life is improved, production cost is down and cpu clock rate can be slightly increased(2ghz on 625 compared to 1.8 on 650/652, not much difference). zenfone 3 already gives up on this die shrinking advantage by using only 2600mAh battery. So, all advantage nullified right here.
Now 625 uses single channel ddr3 ram compared to 650/652 dual channel ddr3 so, theoretically both channels are accessed simultaneously thus improving performance in 652/650.
Next, 625 has 8 cortex a-53 cores compared to 652's 4 cortex a72 and 4- a53 cores. so better performance for 652.
Lastly adreno 510 on 652/650 is better than adreno 506 on 625.
However, i strongly agree with one point of yours that is 'real life performance'.
Still price is not justified at all.

On my country zenfone become popular due to price. Afterwards they realized that the quality of phone is underdog from samsung. Now on zenfone 3 prices may be nobody will buy. Samsung j series is number 1 favorite in my country because of price and also the quality especially the battery and camera.

Really overpriced. I bought ZE520KL and facing ghost touch after 3 days use. The latest firmware which improve touch but still persists. So I guess is hardware problem. How come ASUS devices comes with faulty hardware and is really disappointed will go for warranty repair instead of unit replacement.
About software, still the worst with bloatwares and legendary bugs from Zenfone 5 still there.
I feel regretted to buy ASUS products and won't choose ASUS products in future.
