Nikon announces entry-level D3400 with Bluetooth file transfer

Nikon has launched the successor to the entry-level D3300 in the form of the new D3400. The newer model maintains most of the specifications of the older model with a few additions and subtractions here and there in a lighter and more compact monocoque body.

          have yet to try a recent nikon dslr, they seem good though so i might pick this up

                    Anyways, this D3400, not sure why they released it. No touchscreen? At least add that to make it a useful upgrade. Canon offers touchscreens in almost all of their cameras.

                    No more ultrasonic sensor cleaning? lol.... sad move from Nikon. Forcing people to buy the more expensive D5500 or moving away from Nikon.

                    I had the D3300, great camera, but it had its front focusing issue, just like nearly all Nikon D3xxx and D5xxx cameras. Excellent battery life though. The D3400 has even more battery life.
                    Regardless, useless update to a great beginner's camera.

                      Hard to complain but still no external audio output. Cmon nikon. I hope the 5400 will have a better upgrade than 5300.
