18 August, 2016
In San Francisco, Honor has launched the Honor 8 for the US market. The handset was first unveiled in China a little over a month ago. The device mirrors the same dual-12MP camera setup first introduced with the Huawei P9.

Just got this phone three days ago since I needed a dual-SIM phone. It is by far the best phone I have used, period. Only the design, which is phenomenal when it comes to looks, could be more practical in my opinion. Meaning that this is too much similar to Samsung premium models and the iPhone. Looks great but not the best ergonomics and a bit slippery. I'd say one needs to have a case or cover on it, after which it is okay.

Honor 6 with a bit more straightforward edges was better to hold in hand. Otherwise this is pure dynamite!!!

There's better choice for $400 smartphone, and shouldn't pay more than $200 for this phone due to no name CPU and untruthful maker.

SDKforLumia , 18 Aug 2016In P9, Huawei very cleverly set fine antennas (dual antenna... moreIIRC, the lack of visible antenna lines is due to the glass back on the honor 8. On the p9 and every other metal phone, the metal back screws with signal strength, so the antennas are put on top of the back to retain good reception. However, glass does not have the same issue, so the antennas are left inside the device.

As the Honor 8 and p9 share pretty much all of the same specs, I would guess that the antennas, and thus signal strength, will be more or less equal (of course, I don't own either device, so I can't say for certain).

A strong network lobby here.... they want to lock you and keep as close as possible. Anyway I think I will order directly from China to get dual-sim version if things go as they go....

This is different configuration of the international device. Hope this answers for you. Thanks. rw" Is it possible for a moderator someone to clarify? Tks
