Samsung Netherlands: First-gen Galaxy Tab S won't be getting Marshmallow update

Anonymous, 23 Aug 2016All functions of Spen? Well see about that.This ROMs that I cited with S-Pen fully working are built on top of stock firmware or are ports of stock firmware from newer Samsung phones/tablets, you can go check at XDA yourself.

          Just got my tab S2 am wondering why they were so quick at releasing the tab s3?

            It's strange. I had a Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (Exynos 5420, Android 4.4.2) and it didn't got any updates. Now I have a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (SD410, Android 5.0.2) and, surprise, surprise, it got updated to Marshmallow.

            I don't understand Samsung update policy at all.

              in smartphones (that are charged every day), the battery lasts about 12 months.

              that's why the non-removable battery should be prohibited,
              and you should avoid devices where you cannot replace the battery itself,
              as its the programmed obsolense.

                    Note 3 and tab s both run on exynos 5420 and snapdragon 800 and both have 3gb ram one of the powerfull devices they need 6.0.1 or 5.1.1 atleast to get rid of buggy 5.0

                      I have a tab s sm-t705 and there is a terrible screen flickering and restart problem when the battery is below 60%-ish.

                        Anonymous, 22 Aug 2016Realistically, I noticed no performance increases by moving... moreIt's because it's TouchWiz making old phones slower. My Xperia M4 Aqua got much better with 6.0 (still not as good as iPhone, but better), also looking at benchmarks, it's 20% faster.
