Interesting to say the least. Tizen appears to be a rather stable os that if given proper treatment could actually be seriously competitive.

From the model number (Z930F for the Z9 vs 930F for the S7), the Z9 looks like S7 hardware with Tizen OS, which would be quite nice.

There are already good alternative mobile OSs Samsung should consider. But it is a good move by Samsung to look for an alternative OS. Today Android is on top of other OSs because of the large app market. If anyone figure out a way to bring Android apps to other OSs we will really start to have a good competition.
Android made smartphones widely available. But it also helped kill good alternative OSs and good mobile manufactures.

Whatever, I hope Samsung ditches Android, and further develops Tizen. Nokia should start with Android, but slowly move to Sailfish. I hope AndroidSpy dies, like that there will only remain the low market share AppleSpy.

Can't wait for this. Since this device will run Samsung's own OS, optimization and stuff should be much better than Android.
