No matter how well optimized your OS is there will be more memory hunger apps and games are gonna be in place to consume whatever the RAM you throw at them. Remember those good old times we were more than happy with 512MB RAM and now 4GB RAM phones are also falling in-short in terms of multitasking/killing apps in the background. My question is what's wrong with to be future proof? I'm pretty sure we need more RAM in future. (at least for Android).

Either way, it's MUCH more comfortable to use when you pick it up, especially because it's usually completely impossible to use a front-facing scanner with one hand. With one on the rear, though, it's easy to reach and you won't drop your $400+ phone.
For my use, I'd like to unlock my phone faster when I pick it up, instead of when it's on the table, since I'm usually not busy then. If I'm outside, I'm going to want a quick way to unlock my phone, but when I'm sitting at my desk, I don't mind taking a couple of seconds or just picking it up...

what ever, le Eco has to really work on their ui, it sucks, or provide stock android. hardware wise they are pretty awesome.
I phones are great, but at their price they have to be.

Pure advertising, because there will always be sheep like you who want everytime more and more for no reason. 2 years later there will probably be phones with 16 GB RAM, that's ridiculous but for you will be like "WOOW.
