27 August, 2016
Swedish company Truecaller has partnered with China's Huawei to bring its popular smart dialer/caller ID app to the latter's flagship smartphones, including the Honor 8 which has just been launched in the US and many other regions around the world.

Is the default set to install?

I dont know what the fuss is l about. Truecaller came with CyanogenOS and was perfect. Better than their app on the playstore.

With the current Huawei's pricing of their flagships, I really don't see why they would require to resort to this sort of revenue generating ploys.

Thanks, but no. Last thing I want is to upload my contact list (and possibly call log) to some obscure 3rd-party servers that may do what they please with my data.

You call this a flagship-worthy feature? It's actually better suited to cheap Chinese phones that need to subsidize the price by whatever means necessary! NO BUY.
