Lmao I knew this would happen, HTC just loves milking customers just as much as Bony does. Euro prices will be even higher than this. What's the point of buying a Nexus these days if you can spend a little more (or less) to get something better?

I can't wait for the "Sailfish". I'm on Project Fi and basically hate my 5x, glad they decided to stop making Nexus phones. HTC probably has the best build quality both inside and out. Loved my m8 and Incredible's from back in the day. They hurt themselves by making too many phones and due to the massive Android customizations they didn't have the resources to update their phones...They are kind of ugly, but a case solves that problem!

Huge Nexus FAN, 30 Aug 2016its not Google's fault.. The HARDWARE partner has 75% right... moreI like LG but nexus made by LG always had some serious flaw like bad camera or poor battery life. IMO the best choice would be Samsung. Their phones have good build quality and decent hardware. And with vanilla android it would be perfect for a nexus.

We kinda figured this will happend. HTC has an insane price policy (almost as insane as Sony), but the quality of their products is debatable. No question, the devices will probably be of quality since Google is behind it directly, but this price tags makes the Nexus family a bit irrelevant.
With all the chinese manufacturers bringing quality products on the table for a very low price, one would expect the Nexus's will give the most "bang for the buck". But obviously everybody wants to be Apple today. The problem is there are not enough people that will spend this kind of money for the phone. Apple i understand. Why sell cheaper if you can get away with these prices. Samsung is trying to make some profit - all clear. But there's no room for the third player i suppose. Sony tried and failed miseably. LG saw it and dropped the prices. HTC is already irrelevant, and now this. Its just not gonna fly.

Still too expensive though, that's HTC for ya.
