a lot of ppl on here state what they feel and not facts. i have been using android os since 2008...starting with the G1. the android market is very impressive....there is an app for everything....and the more it updates the better it gets and the more apps pop up. a bonus to that is that most applications are free....now come on who really wants to even pay for an app anyway....android os is currently the best. who can actually say "oh i rather buy my apps than download free ones"....ecaxtly nobody. give android the respect it earned and deserves.....oh yeah SAMSUNG VIBRANT is currently the best phone (:

I'm getting tired of these number games. 100.000, 200.000, 300.000. Like the stupid megapixel race regarding digicams. Somehow the delusion of "more is better" is infinitely continuing and happily dazing humanity. (although the mass, being ignorant, ask for it as quantity rules over quality in this world) What the f.. can ever be any value of 100.000 applications if ANYBODY knows that only 300 maybe 500 of them can be usefull and the rest is shitty crap of so called gold digging "developers"?

Some very good apps are now coming onto the market but the Android Market UI is still absolutely awful and the search system is very poor unless you already know which particular app you want and it's name. Please sort it out.

Never used Android. Can you download the applications on your PC and then install them on your phone connected to the PC, like i do with my Wave ?
If you must download the apps only with your phone, must be extremely expensive using Edge or Gprs ????

Claudia , 26 Oct 2010Sorry but i sold out and moved to Apple on Saturday. so far... morePersonally I don't mind the fragmentation of the apps at all. Of course there are some useless apps flooding the Market, but that's where the rating system comes into play. If people don't like it, they can rate it down so others would steer clear of them. And most of the good stuff are being reported by websites so I could easily navigate through the best ones.

I would rather prefer to scour the Market or find betas of the right app than finding out that Apple prevented the publishing of an app of potential quality. At least Android has freedom for anyone to choose/create apps without consequence, when Apple seems to be preventing good ideas from happening when these violate one or two company guidelines.

to be honest if the quality of the android apps improve i might be tempted to sway, as so far the only thing making me keep my 3gs is the quality of the apps. I hate the fact that im shackled to using i tunes and having a crappy video format. But thats just me. I meaqn is it worth me making the move now? or maybe waiting to see how it all plays out.
