handsome boy, 29 Oct 2010When is this update for the X10 O.S available???Depends on where you live and if your phone is carrier locked. SE are rolling out their update throughout November. Obviously unbranded handsets will get them first (lucky for me =)) however SE have not stated which regions will be first or last. This question is probably best answered by your telco since SE are saying that they are the ones to approve the update.

[deleted post]that's cause no one is so sensitive about correct spellings & grammar on the internet when it's not going to be evaluated in terms of accuracy of content BUT rather context! so as long as people understand each other here everyone is fine with it UNLIKE you, who's talking about something irrelevant here in the first place that has nothing to do with this or any other forum here...so stop being so childish pointing out grammatical mistakes & spend your time doing something better...or at least comment on something that's relevant here next time okay?

I understand the frustration and anger from everyone regarding the time it's taking for SE to release this update, however most people are making the same few complaints:
1. NO 2.2 Froyo. Only 2.1 Eclair.
2. NO multi touch
3. 65k colours even AFTER the update to 2.1 Eclair
Next we get to the facts
1. Those expecting the latest Android OS on the Xperia should not have bought it in the first place. You KNEW it came with 1.6. You KNEW the next update is to be 2.1. Without any offical word from SE you still bought the phone hoping for 2.2? You should've bought another phone.
2. SE DID NOT...I repeat DID NOT confirm that there will be multitouch. Regardless of whether it's software or hardware related, you just filled yourself with false expectations.
3. I too expected 16 million colours. But even with 65k colour I cannot see the other 15.35 million colours apart anyways.
I am not sticking up for SE as I think these stupid delays are inexcusable and I do agree that it should never have taken this long. I am merely stating the FACTS. The only expectation I had was this update to be released when they said it would be.
Another complaint would be that they didn't bother to do anything about the low in call volume. Which is a shame but not a deal breaker for me.

Greeeeat improvement. I've tested X10 with 1.6 (1.5?), and found that a bit, hm... old. I regulary use the phone as a phone, and this improvements seems very useful indeed.

Sony Ericsson, stop behave like Apple. How can you be so proud to launch something that already outdated? Android 2.1?? What a joke.
Those who still trying to get excuses for SE, start respect your brain now, you should get more as return for the price you had paid to SE.
And yes, I meant it, respect your brain please. Ask for more from the developer so that a better technologies will be in our pocket. Don be a slave for any brand.

I am loving this software! Its awesome! I am on a trail to see it works well so far I am impressed love the respond on the touch, n the apps on it, feels like nexus1. U guys would love it. The video focus is really good compared to 1.6. Enjoy it when it comes out!

For those who never use it before shall not comment so much.Providing a great user interface and avoid error for long term use issn't that easy. Who duh wish to come out the first and release fast. I believe once the X10 upgrade release everyone will start to ditch some phone away. It a matter of time good stuff are always the lasting and durable..
