Google use my data to improve their services for me. And they're open about it. Maybe you've mistaken Google for Facebook? Also, literally every f-ing business in the universe are interested in making money. Are you that naïve?

"Additional software" doesn't necessarily mean bloatware. Surely Google Assistant, fingerprint scanner scroll, and Nexus Launcher count as software, no?

I actually like ARA being axed, believe it or not. Anyways, Alphabet is very large, yes. But they're nowhere near being the richest company in the world. They're not even in the Top 50. Source:

          New pixel phones will be pricier than old nexus range,will come with their own bloatware.
          Ara has just been killed off,Google fanboys will finally have to admit that the only thing Google/Alphabet are interested in is more cash,probably so that they can boast soon that google are the richest firm on the planet,they are probably having a private bet with cook and gates etc that they can..
          I stopped believing anything Google said ten years ago,what they really meant years ago was don't get caught doing evil...
