Do you really think that by leaving a phone on a flat surface will bend on its own? There is no general recalls because it's not something that dangerous as you said, but also not something defective without a user causing the bending. Get it in your mind, apple exchanged any bending iphone 6 and 6 plus back then (dont know about now) when you walk in a apple store with the bent iphone.

Files are being transferred by NFC and Wi-Fi direct on androids and that is the way it should be. file transfer via Bluetooth is so outdated, that even if it is possible to do on iPhones it would still be unacceptable. Try transferring 15 minutes of 4k video via your Bluetooth "airdrop" ... 2 days later... good luck

Mkdc, 06 Sep 2016What in the blue hell are you trying to say with the iphone... moreNot that is not the case. it is not about how you use your phone, both 6 and 6s were prone to bending. 6 and 6+ especially, because they were made from cheap inferior aluminum. 6s had better alloy but inherently defective design still made it rather week phone prone for bending.

So they bend even if you were not sitting or jumping on them. NOW .. why there was no recall. It is because bending is not a safety issue, while battery fire is. That don't mean they don't bend, it simply means as long as apple can get away not replacing them, they will not replace them.. and they can because it is not safety issue, so no collateral either...

Iphone 6 plus bending did not require a recall because most people dont sit on their phones or nobody is strong enough to bend a 6plus naturally using it like a normal person would without turning it sideways, and applying the pressure to the weak point to bend it. for those who did the mistake of bending their iphones, apple exchanged it over the counter in any apple storeS.

What a silly question. People will do whatever they want, do you really need a poll for that GSMA? Or nothing else to write about?

But even then... My old SIII has been dropped so many times, the screen and the body are a proof, and the battery hasn't exploded yet (It is not as long-lasting but we can attribute it to the fact it is an 5 Year old device).

This poll shows actually that most of the ppl support Samsung and Note 7. And the bashing works opposite way.
Of course some die-hard ifans were voting as always against Samsung. But decent iUsers, for sure supported Note 7 here.

AnonD-135543, 05 Sep 2016What's the difference between "heat a lot and overheat"? Wh... moreOverheat is a point past the specified maximum, where failures are just waiting to happen at any moment. Like a graphics card at about 110ºc for example.
Heating a lot is between normal and maximum, usually considerably lower than absolute maximum threshold, but still way more than no load temperature. Taking the graphics card example back, we could say like ~80°c is heating a lot.
A phone under heavy load can get considerably hot to touch, but the entire phone will never get to the point of causing injuries if it's not short circuited inside, a short circuit inside the battery or the motherboard can go past that and to the point of overheat, causing injuries if not an explosion.

Note should be taken as how Lithium Ion/polymer batteries explode: the electrolyte evaporates under high temperature, this electrolyte vapor is higly flammable (containing mostly hydrogen gas if I remember), the battery pack rips on some place and that vapor leaks, if a short circuit is present, it can be already hot enough to just need oxygen to burn, and so will vent in flames already, or ignite soon. They don't go BOOM like some real explosive (take C4 or TNT for example), neither the Hollywood ball of flames, but the damage is real, considering it vents flames or at least hot and toxic vapor.
