What you said a about a 3 year old tot is true. Basically a 100 dollar unlocked low-end Nokia has the same specsheet as the iPhone 4, except the screen.

Ok, let's see. It's got a 2 inch screen, 1GB non-expandable storage and a 2MP camera? And it'll cost as much as a second hand car? I may not be a rocket scientist but that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
I've had shotguns with Damascus barrels and they always go spectacularly wrong eventually. OK, so a mobile phone doesn't get 28 grams of explosive blasted through it on a regular basis - but I guarantee that it will go rusty as soon as you look at it and a rusty mobile phone is really not terribly cool.
What on earth does this thing weigh? I'm guessing it's not exactly pocket friendly being made from a lump of drop forged steel. Still, when you get tired of it ripping your pockets you could use it as a hammer or an anvil or something. If you wandered around in the UK with a 5 inch lump of steel bar in your pocket you'd probably get done for carrying an offensive weapon. Offensive? Yes this phone certainly is, but weapons-grade? Not with the hardware it's carrying.
