It's true that they don't support their phone after sale. but the price and the quality of their phone are really good. except the 720P display in most of the mid range phone.

DO NOT BUY OPPO PHONES!
... moreThis is nothing new. BBK Electronics owned brands Oppo & Vivo follow the same policy of heavy marketing, unreasonable high pricing, offline sales, and ZERO android version upgrades. BBK's other brand OnePlus follows a completely different route of near zero marketing spends, value for money product, online sales and timely android version upgrades.
Churning out android upgrades like lollipop to marshmallow against an old model requires additional investment to their customized OS, which as of now they like spending in marketing to attract new customers. However I must admit, I am quite pleased with the changed marketing strategy of Vivo this year. In contrast to Oppo they have concentrated on just two models (V3 & V3max) released internationally this year. With all their synergies concentrated on just these two models they are able to sell them at a very competitive price.
I own the Vivo V3Max, and at INR 20K in India it is a stellar product and dare I say a VFM product which Vivo was never known for. Overall experience, performance and fast charging is better than Lenovo Vibe X3 which also I own. This is amazing!!!
But my overly overpriced and gifted Oppo F1 plus is a complete letdown at INR 27K with pesky and cheap MediaTeks. So yeah a sensible man will go for OnePlus 3 with a budget of INR 29K or a Vivo V3Max @ INR 20K but will never buy a Oppo.

Here is a warning to everyone!
DO NOT BUY OPPO PHONES!
Oppo only ever gives software updates for a few months! After that they don't care about you and your "recently" bought phone!
This is part of their strategy!
Their developers will focus to build software for newer Oppo phones and will not care about your ~4 month old phone.
As for them they already spend money in marketing to persuade you to buy their phone and why should they care about giving you Android Software Updates for free? Or even complete new Android releases such as Lollipop=>Marshmallow=>Nougat.
Even if you decide to buy one.
Don't bet on a custom ROM such as CyanogenMod. Here is why!
Because Oppo closed down the bootloader completely. Meaning you can't unlock their phones anymore!
Second reason, they stopped releasing kernel sources which makes Oppo violate the GPL!
Signing Off: (Maintainer of the CyanogenMod Oppo R7S)

5.5 inch FHD screen with 2850mah battery?
Fast charge doesn't mean manufacturer can give smaller battery & ask users to keep on charging!
