But more importantly, most people don't care. According to Google Trends, interest is at 14% of its peak. Still declining. Maybe Apple's keynote will give it a huge increase before it continues to drop like a stone.
Mark my words, in 6 months you'd struggle to find someone playing outside and even in parks it'll be a few children. People only played because it had Pokémon in it, which is all dandy except for the fact they don't have enticing gameplay to make people stick around, even for a casual game. The Framework of the game means they can't add it enticing gameplay without an overhaul and that obviously isn't going to happen.

Akinaro, 08 Sep 2016Dont worry, just like all other trends, PokemonGo will fall... moreI simply don't like PokemonGo but I don't hate it as well, but for your issue, dude you are free to not download the game if you don't like it, AngryBirds has not fallen down FYI, you can check the downloads in iOS and Android and on desktop sales, FlappyBird did not fall down, it was shutdown due to design copyrights

That game actually started from scratch with a gameplay focussed game, even if it was silly. This game on the other hand is clearly a cash grab focussed on branding. Actual gameplay was poor and shortsighted.
I guess the similarity is how both are crap and rely on social trends to be popular, so they will obviously be short lived.
