I just wanna say that i totally agree with most of the users - SE support sux hard.It's just ridicilous to wait so long for Android 2.1 and still waiting for it.Best regards from Bulgaria

I wonder if someone could help. I got the screen saying 'update' and I was in the middle of doing something with my phone. Now it's saying I can't get the update. I've factory reset my phone and connected to PC companion. It says it's up to date, but I'm still on 1.6. I am confused.

i could not wait for mine so i have a mobile repai shop and i install 2.1 with setool. It rocks. It works better with the new os!i live in Macedonia.

I just got my update today! Before the update, when I connected my phone to PC Companion they told me that it was already the latest software but it was still Android 1.6 so today I happen to be near a service centre so I went to check they said it might be a problem with the PC Companion. Those who are waiting anxiously maybe you want to try asking the service centres in your country (I'm from Singapore)? Because there wasn't really an official announcement that it's released. I had to check around online and at the servive centre before i got it. So yea. So I got mine updated at the service centre in the end (a long 2hr wait) and it was all worth it. There was an initial lag which lasted for one to two hours but after that it's running great and i'm loving it now. :D It's much smoother than the 1.6 and if you had problems downloading stuff with the updated market (like I did), the upgrade's gonna solve that problem.

I've just tried the software update on my X10 and told that 2.1 is now available for generic Xperia X10's - network branded handsets will still have to wait though.

yeahh, you should use pc companion, when you connect your phone to the computer, you can update it via pc companion.

guys guys if u cant wait root ur phone and install phone explorer..im from Pakistan and i cant wait for the update so what i did i just rooted my phone and yeah i know it void ur warranty but i love to void it for 2.1 update :p and i did and now im very very excited to use 2.1 on x10 and believe me everything changed u will know once u updated,ur phone is now like a new phone SonyEricsson changed almost everything :) LOVe U SE!!! take care All

im eagerly waiting for this update... but still not getting it in India, Can SE publish the ETA for all countries, so that people will set the expectation according to that, rather than checking for the update every now and then.
