Huawei has sold 1.5 million Honor 8 units since its launch

10 September 2016
Huawei first introduced the Honor sub-brand to the world 999 days ago and happily states that it sold over 100 million Honor handsets since then. The brand is shaping up to be quite successful in the value-smartphone market share.

Huwei should launch this phone in price sensitive market (like India) asap. In India it's only competitive mobile is Oneplus 3, which is selling like hotcakes now a days, many people need an alternative, mostly who don't prefer large 5.5" screen or who simply don't like Oneplus brand would definitely buy this one. Expected price of honor 8 is lower than Oneplus 3, this is also a big plus, in this price segment no better option is available. Sony, Apple and Samsung phones are highly overpriced here. Honoe 8 expected price (25000-27000) is so convincing, for comparison oneplus 3 (28000 INR), galaxy s6 (34000), galaxy A7 (27000), iphone SE (34000), galaxy A5 (22000).

Honor 8 is yet to be launched in India. I guess honor 8 launch price would be around 32 +- 3k in India. Its highly unlikely but if honor 8 will be priced in comparison with OP3 then it will get very good response in India too.

I don't think it deserves so much. In India it is sold in the price of which I can get Galaxy S7 & LG G5(approx). They are more established brands & when I go to sell the phone after two years, only Samsung & Apple gets a value.
Apart from this,if I compare performance wise,MI5 ,Oneplus 3 are way cheaper & better in performance. I don't understand why would I pay so much for Huawei(I meant only in India).
