i would love to have this gadget as a gift for myself this xmas.but it hesistates me buying coz its weaknesses compare to ipad.it has 2MP which is so disgusting.i want to spend my money wisely.would it be worth waiting for an ipad(i should be more penniful) or should i buy samsung galaxy tab as soon as now?suggestion please

Phone4U stores are also sellingthe Galaxy Tab as well as the Comtiva tablet also running froyo 2 very nice tablets on stronger networks and cheaper than carphone warehouse and even currys and pc world!!! shop around b 4 u buy

Having spent several weeks testing the Galaxy Tab, and this week using the iPad. I now know why the Samsung is priced where it is. If Apple can charge over 5oo pounds for the iPad then the Samsung should be able to charge double for their offering. - Yes I said double!!
Like everyone else I think they are both too expensive, but the Galaxy tab is a much much better device, You cant even compare the two.
The Tab does so much more. It does everything you could imagine and more. The useful features are endless. In comparison to the iPad which is so bare in terms of features, It doesnt do anything!!! you cant even change the Email alert sound or alarm sounds etc.
Basically the iPad is just an oversized iPod touch. The Galaxy tab has so many uses and features I cant think how they can improve it?

very nice size looks ok i haver ipad size is what i want in a tablet but good tablet feautures are ok but price is bit steep

i also work for carphone machione is sluggish looks out dated and feels like a cheap fake from taiwan with the plastic bck and poor accelerometer apple ipad any day well made clean and fast save ur money

It is so overpriced you are actually better off getting a free laptop with a 3G dongle for the same contract price. You will save hundreds of £'s! Basically the networks have said this is a tab therefore we will grossly overcharge to the max.

Hi all,
I also work in carphone warehouse and have to say I'm not impressed at all. The software is sluggish and jitters when scrolling or zooming, particuarly when using the gallery. The clarity of the screen also leaves a lot to be desired.
The camera is poor and the larger screen just highlights this fact, and the phone changes aspect far to easily!
I know the tab is basically a big Galaxy S, but that is literally what you get! It feels like the software is not designed to run on such a large display and so the performance suffers. Trust me I am completely anti-Apple, but for the same money the Ipad is a better product.

Frankly! This is a joke! Whilst it is true it may be a tablet it is still fundamentally a 3G video mobile phone and you ger no free texts or minutes despite paying the same price as a mobile per moth and have to put down a large upfront pruchase price! I WAS extremely keen to purchase this as a mobile phone as it just small enough whilst having a large enough screen to browse and surf the web sensibly! At this price who is going to waste their money on this!!??

but I did get to open the demo one today and its not a bad piece of kit. Downloaded angry birds from the market place and it ran in full screen smoothly. totally impressed.
the only thing that doesn't impress me is the PRICE!
no way are these going to fly at the door like that.
Sorry but not a single person came in to buy one today!!!!

I Work in a tesco phone shop and its completely official, we ARE doing the samsung galaxy tab. Its well priced and were doing data packages and finance packages. So there you go.
