iOS 10 has been bricking a small number of devices

13 September 2016
The major iOS update seems to have had some issues at first release. It looks like Apple has since fixed the issue at hand.

Bricking is still better than exploding, right?

            Good luck to those who havent backed up their stuff. Apple care can do nothing in that case, lol.

                Been using the beta on my iPhone 5. No bricking so far on every OTA updates.

                Shouldn't be a big deal if the iPhone is backed up. Just restore as new, update, and then restore the backup.

                    I love how the header specifically describes a 'small number'. Imagine that omitted then imagine the headline reading 'iOS 10 has been bricking devices' instead. So yeah, simple but a 'goes a long way' effort to prevent trolls from igniting fusses here and there

                          this is the best update apple has come out with when it comes to older iphones updating to the newest version. my iphone 6 came out with ios8 very fast. Ios 9 came, tad bit slower ios10 is like using ios 8 speed.

                            using an iphone 6.

                            the phone is running as fast as it was when it was on the ios8. In other words its faster when you exit out of app! unbelievable well done apple! holy cow.
