Samsung giving free Gear VRs to Galaxy S7 edge buyers in UK and IE

Just bought an S7 Edge after some weeks of debating what to go for. the VR offer didn't really sway me as I can see me making very little use of it but 1/ I may do & 2/ I can always sell it.
But when I go to Samsung website to claim, it says the claim form won't be available until 13 October; strange?

They,Samsung, promised gear VRs in India also with Galaxy S7edg mobile. Now I am sending this message from Galaxy S7edg smartphone. But after purchase of the mobile, they refused to give it with unjustified excuses.

Thanks Samsung.... lol, I think everyone who bought the note 7 should have been giving one of these bc of the recall, if you decided to stick with exchanging your note 7 for a new one.

Why give it to them? Give it to where I am instead. The Brits and Irish don't know what to do with it. They may think it is something to wear to the beach.

Pity I will just miss out on this offer as I bought the S7 Edge last week. Ah well nevermind, can't complain as I got it for £550 from Amazon.

Standalone VR headsets are the way to go. Less chances of overheating than using a phone for the display and processing.

AnonD-491313, 15 Sep 2016Some people have been complaing theyr S7/S7 Edge getting qu... morethere's always the chance of being hysteria or placebo effect (u know, it was always a bit hot but now they think is hotter) keeping in mind that the S7/Edge has been around a lot more it'd be a little late for the batteries to burn down (there's always the chance but it's less likely)
let's just hope it's nothing but a fuzz with the S7/edge and samsung will take care of it ;)

Some people have been complaing theyr S7/S7 Edge getting quite hot after a recent update. Not too long ago we got news of 2 S7's (one of those Edge) exploding... Samsung, dont let this get out of hand!

Even if it is free I don't want it. I don't want to put my self at risk. While using the gear VR it might explode right in your face. Nah. hahaha
