New Samsung Galaxy Note7 battery pack to come from ATL

15 September 2016
Insofar, Samsung counted mostly on its own subsidiary SDI to get the job of supplying the phablet's battery pack.

Come on guys , this is one unfortunate incident that shouldn't happen to a faint corporation.nevertheless I applaud samsung for taking a swift actions in recalling these phones .least they are acknowledging the issues and that shows the high standard they are emphasising.unlike some fruit branded company who simply denied the issues and push it to its end user, that's insulting cos consumers are not dumb.

You're going through all this trouble, how about the option of a pro model with 6Gb of RAM and 128gb of memory.

Honestly, rather than just replace the battery with the supplier for the phone model released in China, it would be good to consider making the battery replaceable.

Imagine having to do another recall because issues found, or worst case worse another case of explosion?

Given the current 'hype' and scare for Samsung phone right now, I reconsider the whole non-removable battery portion

pls make it 5000mah battery. i think the user are complaint 3500mah , that why they burn the phone.
i using Lenovo P1 5000mah also not explode.. even cheap china powerbank 10000mah recycle battery technology not explode.it's far better than Samsung battery supplier?

I better wait for smartphone with SSB (Solid-state Battery) for smartphone with benefit of non-toxic, non-explosive, can handle high and low temperature, long lifespan, and bigger battery at same size as current battery (Liquid electrolyte) in near future (2017, probably).

I just hope ATL will do a better job than Samsung SDI in handling the huge surge of orders coming their waY - which is what caused problems with SSDI in the first place. These batteries should have the same design and similar manufacturing process. It's Samsung's race to beat Apple's timing that placed pressure on SSDI lines. Now ATL will receive 100% demand compared to previous 70% with SSDI.

I'm waiting for my replacement too.
