iPhones had higher explode records than Samsung before Note7 issue, but US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) didn't move their a$$e$.
Now when their lovely jack-less iPhone7 is on the market, they started to hunt for ghosts in Samsung house, and of course the menial media too. It's so pathetic to use the US authorities for such things.

There's an article on Battery University website that details ion-lithium batteries.

For my understanding after reading it and translating it later, it well maybe the case of low-grade and impure lithium. The configuration that they had set, may be the culprit by overheating a low-grade battery.

Some parts of the battery gets carbonized and this part becomes an obstacle to the eletrons. This causes heat and kills a part of the storage permanently. They even got the trouble of putting burnt/dead batteries in the microscopes to prove this and learn.

If you experience the 'memory effect', your battery is defecting by the above mentioned cause. Only cadmium batteries have 'memory effect', ion-lithium don't.

                      i don't want anything to do with Z4 Z5 and X Series.

Untill Sony can make a serious phone, i dont see my self buying a NEW Sony phone any time soon.

HTC on the other has'nt been good since M8.

I bought Samsung galaxy s3 when it launched, but after 18 months or so, when i updated it with 4.3 it became so hot that i couldn't even use it in my hand, i could feel the heat from 2 feet even while it was off, my fingers started hurting after some days of use, i started keeping it beside me instead of my pocket and after 2 months i lost it in bus due to that, now i think it was for good.

So expecting a 6 yr old watching a video is not that strange. Just play something, let him hold phone and you can have a nap without him crying or breaking stuff around...

                                    Now there's no good company.

I wanna upgrade my Z1 but don't know what to get now.

Maybe new Nexus. But HTC was rumored to make the next nexus which i dont like.

Honestly Chinese brands might look like a better option than all major brands right now.

Samsung has tried to cover up exploding phones in the past by gagging users. I wonder if that will come to light with this investigation. Such a slimy company.
