Even putting the phone in a front pocket after all the concerns of the device blowing up I did not get the Note 7 but if I did I would have definitely still used it but would 100% not be putting it in my front trouser pocket or any of my clothing pockets. I mean who does that.

AnonD-335271, 19 Sep 2016I don't blame him for continuing using the device. I would ... moreSo using that logic then. Just because you don't have a replacement car for one with steering problems you would happily drive down the road knowing it could crash at any time without warning and then try and sue the manufacturer despite the fact you had been warned in advance. It's the same logic. Sorry but I don't get that logic eludes me totally. He knowingly put a device in his pocket knowing full well what could happen and then expects to get compensation as well when it does! Not getting injured trumps using my mobile phone. If choose to be stupid then I would not expect Samsung to compensate me for it. now if he did not know then fair call to him but all accounts it seems he did.

I don't blame him for continuing using the device. I would of fallen pray of doing the same while patiently waiting for a "replacement" device. The issue with this replacement program is the "waiting". Replacement devices were not available immediately and what is one to use while waiting? The Note 7 is an outstanding device but I had to give in and return it and get the iPhone 7 Plus due to not wanting to wait and needing a replacement device for "right now" vs " later".

I would be turning off the phone ASAP, not carry on using until something does happen. That's just plain dumb unless he was just after the compensation but that does seem a bit extreme even for the US mentality.

What I don't get about this guy is the fact that he is STILL using his Note7, even daring to put it in his pocket, despite the fact that there are so many cases of the Note 7 melting already. If he has any sense, it would be best for him to turn the phone off, store it somewhere safe, and either return it back to samsung, or just keep it till a fix is in place.
