Google has pushed out a new update to its Photos app that is aimed at making the photo sharing process faster and easier. Basically, now you just have to select the people with whom you want to share with, and the app will do the rest.

Like anyone would even trust Google with their personal stuff like photos, messages, email and such...

No thanks!

Am confused, been using Google Photos since day one and you have always been able to sharw with people using those methods, from the app and in a desktop browser. You have always been able to share a link to one or more photos, or a complete album via text message, WhatsApp, Email etc. So what is new with this update?? Confused!

You can still attach photos to emails, chats, or whatever message without sharing any contact information with Google. So calm down.
I hope you are not using Google contacts i.e. the telephone book of an Android device.

Ok, google just anything they have mobile numbers and email addresses of their users and your contacts, that's it I'm out I understand you need user data to make service convenient but this is where I draw the line totally breach of privacy.

It would be good if you could upload in Albums/Folders to maintain you person structure. I find it pointless without that. Drive is much better and easy to share.

Wish they would bring back the STORY function - that was the killer aspect of Google Photos but it was removed. Great loss.
