20 September 2016
It is part of the latest stable Opera browser release and should offer enough speed for HD video playback.

The only thing I was waiting for... "automatic save battery mode" when unplugged. I tested Opera MAX on my phone... which is basically still a VPN to save your data on hogging streams and it just doens't work speedily enough. I don't know what kind of routing they have for where I am... but I do know 135 KB/s avg is barely enough for a non-HD quality video. This in perspective doesn't promise anything good for their proper VPN software (app and baked in the browser). Anyway.... I prefer Opera than Google alone.

YES!!! OH YEA!! Finally something free for MAC !!!

EDIT : Sorry, I thought standalone free VPM app is available like Android and iOS :|

But is this Opera free VPN secure enough? I read that free VPNs sell your personal data, so I uninstalled Opera VPN from my Android phone.
