AnonD-429691, 23 Sep 2016LG's price won't be a disaster. It will perfectly priced it... moreI don't know what the price is going to be, but at $800 if that's the price it's too high. LG is not Apple or Samsung, so they have got to go at a lower price to get people's attention. They've got a good product, but they need people to know that. Undercutting Samsung and Apple is how you grow.

I can't understand why people don't care more about battery life. The vendors choose not to put bigger batteries into these phones, instead they offer Quick Charging...How am I supposed to do quick charge if I am not near a power outlet??? Am I supposed to carry a charger and USB cable with me all day??? Am I supposed to spend more money on clonkey external chargers??? A phone the size of the LG V20, Note 7, IPhone 7, should have 5000 mAh batteries. You can't tell me, it can't be done, because there are several phones that have it, as can be seen on this website. My last two phones were the Note 4 and 5 and I am fed up with lack of battery life on phones that costs so much money. I had every intention of getting the Note 7 if it was to have a decent size battery and it doesn't so I won't. I am now shopping for a phone that will give me a decent battery life.

Phones with large batteries can be found on this page.

Luckily they provide 2nd battery with external case. Gsmarena create standardize battery testing procedure, it's quite objective for device comparison. Battery size mAh cannot tell all the story.

AnonD-229512, 21 Sep 2016Doubt that, LG is always sucks on battery optimization sinc... moreI can never figure out why people always complain about battery life. Every battery drains the most by keeping a device turned on and in use. The higher mAh number is the only indication of it lasting longer. Since each persons uses a device differently than some else no 2 exact same model device will have the same battery life.
The things that drains battery faster brightness settings, typing or texting, GPS, Location, Bluetooth, Wifi, & Data all turned on but turning things off saves energy. Background running apps and running more than 2 apps at a time will also have an effect. For a fact the LG V20 will have a 3200 mAh size battery and that has an all day life. My LG Vista has great battery life with the same size but if I use the web browsers for a few hours the battery is going to drain faster and it's no differnt I spent the same time on other devices it's going to drain the battery just as fast. Also another difference is the Camera app the more it's used in a day it's going to drain the battery. Even having a black screen saver will save battery life to bright screen saver. The thousands of varibles that one puts a device through to one that a Tech reporter did to test the device battery is never going to be the same or even match up to the manufacture claim in the battery life result specs. The only thing that manufactures measure is talk time and stand by time. But they don't tell you what the settings were and again that makes a difference.

AnonD-584033, 21 Sep 2016This is going to a disaster if LG comes out with this price... moreLG's price won't be a disaster. It will perfectly priced it should be slightly more than the V10. My guess under $800. LG is always cheaper on price than Samsung and Apple that have the highest markup of all leading brands. It's stupid that people don't read the info on devices and then compare it to another model that is so different from an Apple to an Orange. Get your facts straight on specs the LG V20 doesn't compare to the V10 that niether compare to any G series or Stylo series for that matter.

AnonD-229512, 21 Sep 2016Doubt that, LG is always sucks on battery optimization sinc... moreAbout the bad battery life in LG phones:

For G3, it's LG's fault, because they paired a QHD screen resolution with Snapdragon 801. S801 was not meant for QHD screen resolution. But LG wanted to rush so they can tell they are the first to use QHD.
It's another thing that QHD screen resolution is crap and pointless in phones.

For G4 and V10, it's not LG's fault, but Qualcomm's. The Snapdragon 808 (used in G4 and V10) and 810 have very bad efficiency and performance. They overheat quickly and drain the battery. (Despite it's not LG's fault, they should have to stay with Snapdragon 805 even in 2015 and skip the flop SoCs from Qualcomm. Of course, the review authors would were whining / complaining about it.)

But the LG V20 is perfect and will not have battery problems. Moreover, since it has removable battery and removable back, you will be able to replace the battery to a 2x or 3x bigger, higher capacity extended battery.
