They're probably just scared that they will never be able to compete with Tesla in the electric car market, or the likes of any other successful car manufacturer without buying into another company.

I love my 2015 p1 if someday Apple get McLaren I will buy a corolla instead of a newer McLaren they probably would set a cheap car with the same super car price tag.
