(This after getting four family members into the 'clan', some requiring ipad purchases..)
Totally confirms different 'tastes' and 'needs'.
Whilst Clash didn't give me the reward I sought vs the time investment, 'Guild of Dungeoneering' did...
To say any game is 'the best' is dependant on players needs.
I recall how many Vita and 3DS games got negative review points for not having game design suiting small bursts of playtime, or having 'save' options throughout (even though both systems had 'standby' features that allowed stopping the games at anytime).
With the range in screen sizes and use scenarios for portable platforms; all game styles should prove available. I would suggest some games play better with physical controls; hence why my preferred complex games generally proving turn based control systems to prevent poor controls 'getting in the way of a great game'.
Whilst I wouldn't play Dirt Rally without a six speed shifter and clutch (and preferring it on a Sony HMD-T3), many touch screen setups prove the best way to interact for specific game types (Guild of Dungeoneering as a fine example).
For me the ultimate games would be stuff like 'Baldurs Gate 2', or 'Legend of Grimrock'.
For many it would be a 'runner' game.
Or scrabble or mahjong or solitaire or crosswords etc.
Clash Royale being burdened with a pay-to-win backend takes a lot of fun out of it (ranked against rich bad players/great 'free' players) as you can get stuck hovering for large amounts of time (and I am a great player who can mix up teams/strategies and co-lead my clan/kept them inspired...); being 'free' with option to pay means the game has to be orientated a certain way.
I have fast come to prefer apps that might cost me a dollar (or $15) initially, and offer balanced or very tight mechanics.
'Ember" is definately the game to recommend this week ;-)

DU30, 26 Sep 2016is that final fantasy free to play? thnxYep, but its freemium. It doesn't bother you with it though. But its quite high definition so you need a good smartphone, and even then it drains battery quite quick and makes your phone warm.

Old school rpg with ten years design behind it... designed to hommage Ultima 7 (the black gate) and likened to Bladurs Gate and other 'greats'!
Very high quality game; most compelling portable rpg not on the dedicated consoles.
Had a PC release end of last month, iOS this week.

guys can't you post a must have app list periodically??
i mean after every flagship release? a list of iOS, android and win10 apps?
most of the suggested apps on the app stores are not very good
