Samsung's woes continue as another Galaxy S7 edge catches fire

26 September 2016
Over a week after a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge burning incident came to light, a woman from the Philippines claimed that her unit also heated up and started emitting smoke while it was being used by her daughter.

Ive had my s7 edge since april and for the past 2 months it has been noteably very slow as far as responses to inputs, it gets very hot in my pocket in any mode. The battery drains insanely quick while in my pocket. The phone is locked while all this happens. Not sure if it is JUST my phone or if anybody else has this issue. This is very concerning considering the price tag on the phone only to be performing as well as a tracfone

You got such a big mouth, but not ... morefinally , someone who really knows about tech , thanks for your reply , everything you said is true , dxo mark ratings for both video and camera are 88 points , so s7 edge is the winner , and about screen , you are right about that , we are all friends here , no need to get angry, i was adressing guys like F-a-t-s-o , i wrote my boss sent me a cad file in telegram , look what he replied to me (I am embarrassed so much by a civil engineer who doesn't know how to sent a document that he receives via email, presumably using email. Come on that is the most basic thing and if you can't do such basic stuff, you got no place in iOS. Stay in Android 2.0 like you said.) i apologise if i've made even one person sad , both ios and android are great operating systems ,i dont know why people get so mad , it's just a phone . if you wanna show off with iphone , know this , its not a luxury phone , go buy vertu or tag heuer or .. , Kanchana1 i apologise again , believe me , im a mute , every now and then i say something , and yes i dont have the brain , thanks anyway

Samsung's recent exploding phones related news were all from people using the phone normally.

Seriously? The battery issue is just with the Note 7, do not generalize all other series of Samsung, and yes I'm a Samsung fan obviously since I'm using an S7 Edge where in I have been using this for the past 4months now, and actually I haven't encountered any problem with it. If you're just going to comment nonsense just don't read this article and get the Fck out of this site. :)

The Note 7 is the only phone that had battery issues, the s7/edge doesn't have any. And if there is, why just now? Do you get what I'm trying to say? Her story is fake, because after months of having the phone, why just now that an issue regarding the note 7 has been released? I know how people thinks here in this country so basically I can guarantee that she's up to something and that her story is fake. ZZZ!

And no none of my family will experience exploding S7 since its not true :)
