Google's Nexus S undeniably looking cool!
Who could argue against Google's decision to choose Samsung as the Manufacturer of their next major handset? We know HTC can't. To change manufacturers just after a single handset being released speaks volumes about HTC.
It's very clear that Google know what they're doing when it comes to software, so changing from HTC to Samsung shows that they also want to pick the best hardware to match. This not a shunt at HTC, however it shows that they are not moving fast enough for Google in terms of hardware vs software or that Samsung is willing to bend over backwards to help Google take a big bite of Apple.
Samsung have a one up over HTC, its called Super Amoled which we know is in short supply for other phone manufacturers. LCD is at the end of the line where as Amoled can only get better. In terms of colour, pixel density, efficiency... the list is nearly endless.
So, with Samsung in the right hand of Google, rather than HTC, who are you going to pick in the future?
The choice is yours...

I really wish Google did this with HTC like they did with Nexus 1. Samsung Galaxy series is awesome and I'm sure this one will also be great spec-wise, but I never really liked the Samsung cheap looking glossy plastic body, nor was I ever impressed with their customized UI. I own HTC Desire and I LOVE how the phone feels in the hand and the overall build quality. I find Nexus 1 even more appealing visually than the Desire, and wonder why Google decided to move away from HTC... feels like HTC didn't really have a chance with the way Google marketed and sold the N1, and as if they're being "punished" now for low sales and moving to Samsung because of that. Imagine a slightly visually modified N1 body with Gingerbread and 1.2 GHz chip inside, with a HTC logo. Or, imagine Samsung screen, 3D acceleration and custom apps out-of-the-box (I love the apps on Galaxy S) with HTC body and Sense on board (love the Sense too)....

I donno maybe it's just me, but I think it's kind of ugly. It'd be nice to see a slightly more powerful camera on it too, like an 8MP nothing to extreme. Nearly everything HTC came out with recently has one. I don't know much about the new upgrade, I'm kind of curious if it's really going to make that big a difference like the current 2.2 has.

iphone4ing, 13 Nov 2010Don't think it's a thread to iphone4 -posted from my iph... moreyes, im iphone4ing too :) I rather my phone be built by quality materials such as glass and stainless steel rather than cheap plastic like samsungs, which by the way is so cheap as to use plastic screws which could come lose or crack at anytime. Plastic phones look like they're 2 years old after 6 months of use due to the wearing of the plastic. Samsung? No, SampPlastic!
