Confirmed this is Exynos 7 Octa 7580. So this is Snapdragon 615 level performance. Not sure how good it will be powering a full HD screen.

I want this phone though purely for the screen ! Been totally in love :P

The A5 2016 will have better build quality but similar processor and GPU performance so no point spending more for similar performance.

      Meh

        More like a 3Gb version of Samsung J7 2016 and maybe a metal unibody ?

An Exynos 7870 makes more sense, since the 7580 is already outdated. And the Mali-T830MP2 in the 7870 is just a little bit better than the Mali-T720MP2 in the 7580, and of course both are no match for the Adreno 506 in the SD625.

                      I request GSM Arena to post Indian Specs for Samsung mobiles alone. Bcoz, most of the Samsung models launched in India with inferior specs when compared to other nations.

                                Mirkran, 27 Sep 2016It's strange. On7 (2016) has SD625 and this one has Exynos ... moreagain, this one does not have 7870 (14nm), instead has octa 7580 (28nm). So it is weaker compared to J7-2016 & J7 Prime's CPU and GPU and not power efficient due to architecture which will even be worse as it is Full HD.

                                Samsung has cleverly skimped on processor and fingerprint (comapred to Rs.18790 J7 Prime) to provide Full HD and Amoled at 15900 INR (~J7-2016's price). For people who look for display resolution and looks and not care much for soc this is a great phone at reasonable price. For people who need better processor and fingerprint they can go for J7-prime but that does not have samoled instead has TFT. Its either that or this :( And it is not a better version of On7-2016, that is going to have SD625 if ever it launches in India. Think of it this way On8, the first generation is much better than first generation On7 or even On7 Pro.

If you are a heavy user, multitasker and want good gaming phone then no as the GPU is weak compared to even J3-2016

                                    Well, with the launch of these 2 to 3 new models, there is one benefit that indian cusotmers will have, that is, the people, who are waiting for J7(2016) and J5 (2016) to slash down the price, will have an opportunity to buy, because they are still coming with a competitive specs, nice looks and display and a good hardware and last a good after sale service, that most companies in India lack. I think J7(2016) and J5 (2016) are a good deal to buy but still they are a bit costlier when compare to other chinese brands.
