iphone4u, 17 Nov 2010Hows the GPS?
Holding it right to get signal Haha
*post... moreyou do realise how stupid that sounded, right?
Asking if held correct to get gps, then stating how you have to hold yours a certain way to "prove" lies about signal??
the correct way to hold a cell phone is however you want, not how apple tell you in order to cover their own asses for design faults.

Maemo is stable.. Nokia should invest a bit more into it and produce some more devices like N900 and work on adding some business user needs.

Meego powered nokia n900 runs like mini computer, with 680mhz... no lags, no freezes but why android froyo powered phones with 1gig processor lags, freezes and web pages not rendered properly like n900. I wonder what happens when nokia puts 1ghz processor on N9..:)...!

Anonymous, 16 Nov 2010Regular updates?
You're joking, updates depend on manufa... moreI have Galaxy S AND X10, both of which are running latest AndroidOS.
Rooting a phone to pump up its performance has never been easier. MultiTOUCH on X10 even becomes a reality (despite SE saying hardware doesn't allow MT)...
But as for Armani branding - save yourself 700EUR. Grab yourself some whiteout/ tipex and brand your phone however you like. BUT be warned! You'll still look pretentious...

You're joking, updates depend on manufa... moreHe's talking about custom ROMS which you can install even if your device has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
If you root an Android phone, you're not going to be easily restrained.

I don't get it, why would anyone want to spend 700EUR for just an Aramani badge on the phone ? Still the same old Captivate with a different back cover. They are not even giving a premium quality ear buds or a carrying pouch or any extras at all, same crappy Samsung ear buds and a charger with a micro USB to USB adaptor (which you can buy for $1 off eBay).

You're joking, updates depend on manufacturers AND networks they have to test that their crapware doesn't break.
Just ask any X10 or Samsung Galaxy owner.

Rudeboi, 15 Nov 2010How many software updates with names does Android have? I m... moreRudeboi = douchebag. Sure the appeal of this phone is a little plastic, but you can't attack Android. How many E series/ C series/ N series does nokia or iOS go through to get a decent phone. Android is such a new OS, and it's brought a revolution to smartphones.
I'm loving each update as each enhances handset usability. Isn't it awesome that you no longer have to rely on manufacturers to update the software on their defunct devices?? That, aside from hardware improvements, the high-end phone you bought yesterday might retain its position at the top of the food chain for a little longer??
Now that regular software updates are available across the Android range, it's only a matter of time before we start seeing devices with readily replaceable hardware components.
